FAQs
What is Pathfinders?
Pathfinders is a church-based youth organization for young people aged 10-15, offering a blend of spiritual, social, and educational activities. It emphasizes outdoor experiences, community service, and developing practical life skills, all while nurturing a deeper relationship with God.
What is the curriculum for Pathfinders?
The Pathfinder curriculum includes various levels designed to challenge and engage members as they grow. These levels include:
- Friend (10 years old): Focuses on developing basic life skills, spiritual growth, and community service.
- Companion (11 years old): Builds on the foundation of the Friend level with increased emphasis on outdoor skills and leadership.
- Explorer (12 years old): Introduces more advanced skills in nature, community service, and personal development.
- Ranger (13 years old): Expands on Explorer-level skills with a focus on self-discipline, teamwork, and spiritual understanding.
- Voyager (14 years old): Prepares Pathfinders for leadership roles through advanced activities in service, survival skills, and Bible study.
- Guide (15 years old): The culmination of the Pathfinder program, emphasizing leadership, mentorship, and comprehensive knowledge of all previous levels.
Each level includes a variety of honors (similar to badges) covering topics from nature and outdoor skills to health, science, and the arts. The curriculum also integrates Bible study, community outreach, and church involvement to develop well-rounded individuals equipped for leadership in both church and everyday life .
